Electional Astrology/Muhurat

Electional/Elective Astrology or Muhurta as known in Indian Astrology deals with finding auspicious times for starting any new venture. In Natal Astrology we look at the planetary positions at birth which govern the destiny of the native; the planetary aspects at birth can be favorable or challenging and native has no choice to select the time for taking birth. But in Electional astrology, we can make use of astrological laws and start any venture or activity when astral configurations are favorable to get the desired fruitful results.
Electional Astrology deals with choosing the right times for starting any activity/venture so as to avoid the future mishaps, obstacles & misfortune related to that particular event.
We have
Still not sure how can this be helpful -
We have observed this in many cases, that any employee getting his confirmation letter on Pushya Nakshatra (one of the most auspicious constellation), can be assured that he would be working for that organization for long time. It doesn’t mean that he would be working in that organization against his wish or can not get any further opportunity – the point here is that organization can never lay off such individuals, who have been given confirmation letter on Pushya Nakshatra or least these individuals would be last on the list of laid off people if at all any crisis occurs. So at least from security point of view, you know that since you have chosen good time you are pretty much safe with the job.
Also in stock market we see that some IPO listings shoot up as soon as they are listed and some times we see a very meager response to that IPO listing – it’s only because of how good or bad that day is, which decides the response of public. Similarly all other aspects where the success is totally dependant on people’s participation like running any campaign or event  you can certainly resort to this auspicious time so as to get maximum response.

It’s certainly advisable to get auspicious times for -
1) Moving out in a new house
2) Starting new business/venture
3) Starting date of a new Job
4) Marriage
5) Purchase of new vehicle or any desirable thing
6) IPO listing
7) Running any campaign
8) Important Journeys
9) Starting on a pilgrimage
10) Vedic Remedies
And any other event which you think is important in your life.
How is this auspicious movement calculated –:
We have very detailed way of finding the auspicious time
1) We go by the 5 aspects which form an auspicious time – this includes Tithi, Day, Constellation, Yoga and Karan.
2) Then we look in the planetary aspects in transit – say for example if any one is desirous of buying new vehicle its advisable not to buy when Mars in retrograde in transit and he should wait till mars gets direct.
3) Lastly once we arrive at the auspicious day, we again look in minutely for good time frames with in that day. This is most important, just because on any good day, not all the moments in that day can be auspicious – we have even bad times on other wise good day. This technique is revealed by a highly revered Yogi and which divides the day in 4 periods –
Mahendra Kaal (Extremely auspicious time frame, victory success is assured in all endeavors)
Amrut Kaal (Very good time frame and success is ensured – but this is bit lower in hierarchy as compared to Mahendra Kaal)
Shunya  (Not good by any means avoid, success can be there after lot of hardships)
Vakra (Bad time, avoid at all cost)

Ideally any important event in your life should be started on an auspicious time.
